Romans 1:19&20
"Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them...for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."
In this the first chapter of Romans, the author pens fervently the comparisons between the righteous and unrighteous. But as the above revelation is given, is it not a wonder that even before creation, God has placed within both righteous and unrighteous the undeniable knowledge of The Divine Godhead!
Every creature near or far, sinners and righteous alike have an internal vehicle of this undeniable gift of knowledge!
When the unrighteous deny this very mystery within, he thus suffers unto conviction and indescribable discomforts. (Rom. 1:22&23). When the just arise early to glorify this Godhead and enter into expression with praise and worship, as like also the birds who at dawn pour out upon our earth their beautiful song, despondency and gloom must perish!
In partaking of this glorious impartation of the "Godhead power" we become in essence with it by means of adoration and expression...the very power that miracles such as the raising of Lazarus are wrought! For, it is this knowledge that compels us to "pray without ceasing" and to dedicate our every moment in life choosing His merciful goodness over the wiles of the world and the confusions therein.
Liken this incredible, touchable immersion of knowledge to that of a child who when once was enveloped with warm, amniotic fluids that surrounded him tenderly within his mother's womb, now must be forced by birth to leave and enter into a world full of distraction and sound. No longer is he in a place where then exsisted the highest form of music-silence. But if in his newness of life he is placed by loving gentle hands back into waters, once again he immediately re-experiences the joy and hush his womb-world begone!
We, in our Christian adulthood have the moment to moment choice to 'return to the river of life' and mysteriously place ourselves once again in the 'secret pavillion of The Most High' , through this incredible vehicle which our God has placed in us! (namely, our spirits!)
Within the mystery of this mighty gift of internal wisdom is also given to us a responsibility to put it to use, as we choose not to deny it or leave it dorment and unguarded within the crevices of our hearts from whenceforth come 'the issues of life and death'. As a loving father would give his child his first bicycle, he so delights to see him run to it and learn ( and possibly fall over and over again in learning his perfection) to master it. Comes the cheerful day when the father removes the training wheels, which are discarded and become a thing of the past, as the child rides off to the park with his older brothers and sisters! The prideful father's hands have guided him, and His eyes become alight with joy! But had the child received the gift without thankful heart and parked it carelessly in the garage due to fear of falling and doubted his father's wisdom that he was ready for the masterdom of the gift, this would have saddened the heart of the father.
So it is with this gift of knowledge of the Godhead given to us before our creation which remains intact within our hearts to this very day and every day henceforth. We must exercise it. We must have faith to master it and give thanks for it and not delay. We must polish it, show it off as a testimony of the goodness and wisdom of Our Father, Son and holy life-sustaining Spirit! Then others will see the joy in our countenances and the spark of love will go on to touch our neighbors!
Oh, fellow Christian! Do you rise early with the morning-songs of the birds to praise Him- Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Do you, as with the expression of unfolding petals, use this gift to glorify HIm? For He has given us secondly the gift of a whole body to do so!
Or do you lay dorment while the earth and creation run the race to glorify Him?
Arise then, Fair One and 'go away with Thee', who calls you through such divine mercy of the ineffable gift!
As in Romans 1:20, "you are without excuse." You are given the supreme ability by the decision of Him who knows your frame.
Let not fear, disability nor wordly distractions neither stony insensabilities prohibit us.
Our Lord and Creator calls to thee from within His tender heart! |
