Mary with Grandson Jared

Six months ago my wife, Mary, was diagnosed by the doctors as having metastic breast cancer that has matasasized into her liver. We strongly believe that God is going to heal her and we have made a decision to use treatments and programs that integrate the alternative and the conventional (if needed).

She has already begun a radical change of diet (vegan) and a total cleansing process. She has also gone through 4 weeks of treatments at the Oasis of Hope alternative medical hospital in Mexico. This facility has been recommended to us from many reliable sources. The cost is around $30,000.00 and we have no medical insurance whatsoever.

Therefore, we are requesting that you consider two things. First, that you pray for Mary's healing and God to provide the finances for her treatment. Second, that you consider before the Lord contributing financally to this fund for her treatments.

Update - March 22nd, 2007:
God is so much more than Great! Since my last entry here He has provided the funds for Mary to go to the Oasis of Hope Hospital! On March 12th, Mary and I went down for the first visit of 12 days for her first "cycle" of treatments. The second day of our stay there, the doctors took a cat scan and discovered that the cancer had grown in her liver quite a bit. So they decided to upgrade her program to include small doses of chemotherapy, once per each visit. However, she did not get sick at all from the chemo! Thank God! This is because of all the prayers of the saints and the wonderful immune building treatments that they gave her at the hospital. We will be going back to Oasis on April 15th for another week of treatments.

Update - June 11th, 2007:
On April 15th we went back and they did a CT scan and blood test. The tumors in her liver had shrunk by 60% within the last 2 months! Also, her tumor markers have gone down from 3800 to 400. God is doing His work! She will still need to have 3 more treatments of chemo within the next three months. She will also continue to use the home care program of supplements and medication.

Update - October 07, 2007:
In September of this year we made another trip down to the Oasis of Hope hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. We brought Mary's most recent CT scan and blood work. The 15 cancer doctors at the hospital evaluated Mary's current condition. The tumors in her liver had shrunk by 80%! Praise the living God! Her tumor markers had gone down again to 78. This is almost normal. She is finished with the chemo treatments and will continue to take the suppliments and an antibody treatment called Herceptin.

We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. That has made a huge difference and God is using all of it. Even though the Oasis hospital expenses are covered for now, we still have to pay the hospital and doctors here in Colorado and could still use your help with this if the Lord leads you. Also, the home care treatments run about $1200.00 per month and we could definitely use some help on that.

Mary's spirit and attitude is very high and we know God is doing His thing.
