Betty has a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. It is a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, with primary tumor that was in her deep parotid gland which metastesised to a lymph node in her neck. She was diagnosed and surgery was in April 2009 followed by 37 radiation and 3 chemos which ended in July. During treatment or shortly after that it metastesised to lymph nodes in her chest. It is a very aggressive and fast spreading cancer and cannot be cured and it will continue to spread. They are now checking to see if it is already in her bones.

Of course, we all know that our God is much bigger than any diagnosis or declarations from the doctors of incurability! Please pray that God will completely heal Betty of all cancer in her body.

Also, like my wife Mary, she has been led by the Lord to take a trip down to the Oasis of Hope hospital in Mexico. There, she will receive treatments of alternative medicine that she cannot receive in the U.S. that will give her body a better chance of fighting the disease. They will also give her treatments that will improve her quality of life without the complications of further chemo. This same hospital helped my wife Mary immensely and she has now fully recovered and is clear of all cancer in her body.

Betty's insurance will not cover her at the hospital in Mexico. She needs help with prayer and finances for the treatments.

New Update as of March 20, 2010
There is a new cancerous lymph node in the neck near the trachea. There are 8 or 10 spots in the lungs that have grown to be more than a centimeter in size. There are innumerable small spots throughout both lungs that will continue to grow and multiply. The critical lymph node has tripled in size since october and is now growing around her airway. The PET scan results are not in yet.

Oasis is recommending a treatment plan that involves 3 trips, the first of which she would like to do right away. The cost of the first round is $9900.

The lymphocyte treatments seems to be really slowing the growth to hardly anything. The recent scans show only one new spot and the rest scant or no growth. So it really is keeping her more stable. She is asking for financail support for the upcoming trip June 27 and continued ongoing expenses. She does not qualify for disability and will not be able to work for the next 5 months. She appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
